Hilary Rosen's Foot-In-Mouth

Hilary Rosen really put her foot into her mouth.

Democrat strategist Hilary Rosen's remark on Ann Romney “His wife has actually never worked a day in her life.  She’s never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing” has the Obama Campaign in a tizzy.

The Obama Campaign has been stepping over itself in distancing it from Rosen's comments as Ann Romney raised five boys, had breast cancer and is a multiple sclerosis sufferer.  Maybe a "Joe Biden Award" is in order?

This comes at an interesting time as I will be at the Walk MS event in Pasadena on Sunday.

Romney Locks Up GOP Nomination

Former Senator Rick Santorum effectively ended his presidential bid today when he announced that he's suspending it.  This pretty much clears the path for former Massachusettes Governor Mitt Romney to secure the GOP presidential nomination.

Romney is not the "perfect" candidate.  Who is?  But he has the experience in private enterprise and in government to turn this country away from the socialist policies of the Obama and the Democrats.  In 2008, I preferred Romney over John McCain.

It is time to get on board the Romney campaign to defeat Barack Obama this November.   Go to www.mittromney.com to volunteer or donate.  Get involved!

Politicians Playing Games With Agriculture's Future

Abovethe family farm in Nebraska during winter.  Photo by Armand Vaquer.

The Obama Administration has been a disaster on issue after issue. It is no better when it comes to agriculture policy.  Some in Congress are no better.

Western Farm Press posted an article on how the Washington politicians are screwing up agricultural policy.

 They begin with:
Farmers and ranchers have known for a long time that most federal lawmakers are notoriously uninformed when it comes to making decisions about farm policy. But what have long been laughable, but serious errors on the part of legislators and policy makers in the past seem to have reached a pandemic crescendo of inefficiency. A war-driven economy and partisan politics have muddled minds in Washington as ill-fated attempts to address federal budget concerns has spawned a plethora of actions that threaten to multiply problems rather than address ways to make them better, especially when it comes to farm policy.
While the problem extends far beyond agricultural issues, it is becoming apparent that farm policy will be taking more than its fair share of these misguided decisions by lawmakers, who seem to have lost touch with reality when it comes to understanding that U.S. agriculture plays as important or a greater role to a healthy nation as the banking and energy industries.
The Obama Administration has ordered the closure of vital programs that have discovered problems with some agricultural products that produced illnesses and deaths.

For example:
Last summer the USDA's Microbiological Data Program (MDP) was the agency that ordered cilantro and bagged spinach that had tested positive for salmonella to be removed from grocery store shelves. It also forced a recall of lettuce that had tested positive for E. coli, and started testing cantaloupe regularly for Listeria after an outbreak that left 13 people dead.
As part of President Obama's 2013 budget, this program will be shut down.
Food and Drug Administration Produce Safety officials say that testing certain high-risk crops such as sprouts, tomatoes, and cantaloupe would now have to be undertaken by state and local agencies, many of which are already cash-strapped and short on staff.
It is a real eye-opener to see how agriculture policy is getting messed up by Washington. And they have the nerve to think they can effectively run health care?!

Strife May Be Excuse To Keep Obama In Office Through Martial Law

Back on March 16, President Obama signed an executive order giving the White House absolute control over all the country’s natural resources in case of a natural disaster or during a time of war.

According to Fox Nation, Obama "granted to himself the authority to approve the dispensing of all domestic energy, production, transportation, food, and water supplies as he deems necessary to protect national security."

This action was troubling to a great many people. And it should.

Fox Nation posted:

Despite the national defense hurdle that ostensibly must be jumped in order for the order to take effect, the text of the document itself does not limit implementation to a time of war. In fact, the specific sections of the order make it clear that the President can take complete command and control of the country’s natural resources in peacetime, as well.

Jim Garrison at The Huffington Post (hardly a stronghold of conservative thought) goes even further:

President Obama's National Defense Resources Preparedness Executive Order of March 16 does to the country as a whole what the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act did to the Constitution in particular -- completely eviscerates any due process or judicial oversight for any action by the Government deemed in the interest of "national security." Like the NDAA, the new Executive Order puts the government completely above the law, which, in a democracy, is never supposed to happen. The United States is essentially now under martial law without the exigencies of a national emergency.

Even as the 2012 NDAA was rooted in the Patriot Act and the various executive orders and Congressional bills that ensued to broaden executive power in the "war on terror," so the new Executive Order is rooted in the Defense Production Act of 1950 which gave the Government powers to mobilize national resources in the event of national emergencies, except now virtually every aspect of American life falls under ultimate unchallengeable government control, to be exercised by the president and his secretaries at their discretion.

Isn't it interesting that this action took place during an election year in which Obama is in political trouble and is in danger of being tossed out of office?

Isn't it also interesting that we've seen an escalation of political strife that is being orchestrated by Leftist allies of Obama? The Occupy movement. The attacks on Rush Limbaugh/conservative talk radio, their sponsors and Fox News. The phony "War on Women" campaign. The thuggery involving the Trayvon Martin incident (the New Black Panthers putting a bounty on George Zimmerman's head, Spike Lee's posting of an erroneous Zimmerman address, etc.). Union thuggery. The fermenting of racial strife. And so on.

All the while, the White House has not denounced any of this.

With all this going on, it wouldn't be at all surprising if Obama loses the election in November or if his pre-election poll numbers show him about to lose, he invokes this order and declares martial law to keep himself in office (Garrison feels we're already in martial law). I am not saying this will happen. But it is interesting that recent events seem to be pointing to the White House and political operatives allied with Obama.

I'm just saying. It is definitely food for thought.

“One Nation Under Socialism”

Provo, Utah (CBSDC) – Jon McNaughton, a controversial artist who often mixes religion and politics in his work, has released a new painting.

In “One Nation Under Socialism,” President Obama holds the U.S. Constitution as it burns.

Talk show host Sean Hannity reportedly bought the original painting.

Santorum's Dumb Comment: Time To Hang It Up!

Former Senator and presidential candidate Rick Santorum stepped in it yesterday when he said (about a choice between rival Mitt Romney and Barack Obama), “We might as well stay with what we have.”

This comment disappointed Santorum supporters, including columnist Michelle Malkin, who wrote, "I remain a Rick Santorum supporter, but I do not agree with the comments he reportedly made earlier tonight about Barack Obama being preferable to Mitt Romney."

Romney answered Santorum during an interview with Hugh Hewitt:

HH: Well, I’ve got to talk to you about something Rick Santorum said today. He shocked a lot of people when he said that you know, we might as well stick with President Obama rather than elect Mitt Romney if you’re the nominee. That’s a paraphrase. But what do you think of that statement?

MR: Well, I’m afraid Rick is confusing the nature of this race. This race is not about one person. This is a race about the direction for the country. The country is going in a very seriously wrong direction under President Obama. And I’m afraid that Rick increasingly thinks this race is about him. It’s not about him. It’s not about me. It’s not about a personality. It’s about the country. And I’m really disappointed in Rick’s statement. Obviously, he endorsed me three years ago when I was running for president. He had no problem calling me a real conservative, a solid conservative. But now that he’s in the race, it has become all about Rick. And that’s just not right for the party, it’s not right for the country.

HH: Governor Romney, the exact quote from Senator Santorum is “We might as well stay with what we have.” You have talked about the consequences of a second term for Barack Obama. Now one of two people are going to be president a year from now – you or Barack Obama. What difference will it make?

MR: Well, first of all, under Barack Obama, we’d keep Obamacare. If I’m president, we’ll get rid of Obamacare. Under President Obama, we’ll have probably two, maybe even three new Supreme Court justices, liberals, progressives, so to speak. If I’m president, we’ll have strict constructionists on the Court. Under Barack Obama, we’ll have more restriction on fossil fuels, and a higher cost of gasoline. If I’m president, we’ll take advantage of our energy resources. Under Barack Obama, we’ll continue to tilt the playing field towards organized labor. If I’m president, we’ll allow individuals to have a secret ballot to decide if they want a union or not. I mean, my list goes on. You could not have much more differences than those that add up, for instance, to a deficit under Barack Obama of a trillion dollars a year, with America ultimately hitting a Greek-like wall. If I’m president, we will finally balance our budget, we will secure Social Security and Medicare without bankrupting the next generation. It’s a wholly different course if I’m president than if Barack Obama is president.

Romney has an overwhelming lead in the delegate count. Santorum has virtually no chance in overtaking Romney.

Rick, it's time to hang it up!

Obamacare: The Costly Lie Is Exposed

Back in 2009 and 2010, the Obama Administration, along with the Democrat-controlled congress led by Nancy Pelosi in the House and Harry Reid in the Senate, told us that Obamacare would save us billions over the years once it is fully implemented. Those of us students of history (or any learned rational person) knew that this line of b.s. wasn't true and that the socialist legislation would cost us dearly.

We were right.

Forbes reported:

No serious policy person ever believed the original CBO [Congressional Budget Office] gross cost projection of $938 billion (over 10 years) made when the bill was rammed through Congress in March of 2010. Working to achieve an acceptable CBO “score” (i.e., cost projection) is just part of the game Washington plays with legislation—and the American people.

To begin with, the costs in the legislation were back-loaded: Many of the costs won’t emerge until the latter half of the initial 10-year projection, ending in 2019. And sure enough, when the CBO issued its update in March 2011 the 10-year gross cost projection through 2021 jumped to $1.44 trillion. The just-released 2012 projection tags the gross cost at $1.76 trillion through 2022—nearly twice the original cost. Surprise!

Surprise (!) indeed. In a nutshell, Obamacare is nothing but a fraudulent utopian scheme. All it does is expand government control over nearly 7% of our economy that will worsen medical care, not improve it. We were lied to about the costs.

Unless we elect a Republican president along with a Republican Senate to go along with a Republican House to repeal it, or the U.S. Supreme Court (it begins hearing arguments later this month) rules that Obamacare is unconstitutional, we are headed for a major disaster.

Did you notice that there has been no word from the Democrats after the CBO report about "fixing" Obamacare? Surprised?

Democrat Hypocrites Refuse To Return Maher's Contribution

The Looney Left Report

A Super PAC supporting President Obama is refusing to return a $1 million contribution from Bill Maher.

Fox News is reporting today:

Current and former White House aides on Thursday rejected demands by a conservative group that a Super PAC supporting President Obama refund a $1 million check from comedian and talk show host Bill Maher because of coarse comments he's made about Sarah Palin and other Republican women.

While Obama earlier this week denounced similar comments that radio talk show host made about a college student, Sandra Fluke, White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters the president is not going to get involved in the Maher battle.

Carney said "language that denigrates women is inappropriate," but it is not the President's place to be the "arbiter" of every controversial statement.

"He chooses to lead by example or tries to," Carney said of the president, adding that "he chooses to try to practice that civility himself and he calls on everybody to do just that."

Maher used the c-word, twat and boobs to refer to Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, yet the Left is giving him a pass and the Obama Super Pac, which is run by longtime Obama aide Bill Burton, is keeping Maher's contribution.

Kirsten Powers at The Daily Beast, who sees the hypocrisy, wrote:

Let’s just call a spade a spade: the uproar over Limbaugh is only because it fits into the Democratic narrative that the GOP is “anti-woman.” It’s Democratic Party activism dressed up as feminism.

That's not all. Democrat congresswomen Sheila Jackson Lee and Jan Schakowsky refused to condemn Bill Maher for calling Gov. Sarah Palin a “c--t” and a “dumb twat.”

Let's see how outraged they'd be if a conservative said those things about Nancy Pelosi. All this is just phony outrage against Limbaugh in order to shut him up and get him off the air.

Ironically, Bill Maher is supporting Limbaugh in this.

The Ghost of Breitbart Strikes: Obama College Video To Be Shown

Andrew Breitbart may be dead but his ghost continues to haunt Barack Obama.

Tonight at 9:00 PM EST, a video of Barack Obama leading a protest will be shown on the Sean Hannity Show.

According to Breitbart.com:

Earlier today, Buzzfeed’s Ben Smith announced on Twitter that video researcher Andrew Kaczynski had released “the mysterious Harvard/Obama/race video that the Breitbart folks have been talking about.”

The video, which Kaczynski says was “licensed from a Boston television station,” shows a young Barack Obama leading a protest at Harvard Law School on behalf of Prof. Derrick Bell, a radical academic tied to Jeremiah Wright--about whom we will be releasing significant information in the coming hours.

Edited footage of this tape has been shown by the mainstream (state-run) media, but the embarrassing portions had been covered-up! The video is to be shown in its entirety.

Two Centuries of Religious Freedom Rolled Back

The current storm over contraceptives and religious organizations have muddied the waters so much that the average person would have difficulty figuring out what the fuss is all about.

Thankfully, The Heritage Foundation has it layed out in plain English so that even a moron should be able to comprehend what's at stake.

They wrote, in part:

Since 1791, when the Bill of Rights was formally adopted, America has enjoyed the legal protection of religious freedom, enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. Today, 221 years later, centuries of progress in the protection of religious and other liberties is at risk of being rolled back in one fell swoop. The culprit: Obamacare.

As we all know, President Obama's health care law will mandate that religious hospitals, charities, and schools abandon the tenets of their faiths and provide their employees insurance coverage of abortion-inducing drugs, contraception and sterilization. This anti-conscience mandate is but the latest assault on liberty Obamacare has ushered in. Its shock waves are reverberating across the country, waking Americans to the fact that our first freedom -- religious liberty -- will be the first to fall now that the federal government has unfettered control over the country's health care system.

Let's make this clear one more time: The issue isn't about birth control -- it's about the federal government's power to force a religious institution like Georgetown University to bend to its will and take actions that are fundamentally at odds with its core values. Religious groups are faced with an untenable choice: violate conscience or drop coverage and face penalties for doing so. That's why so many Americans -- men and women alike -- are speaking out against the anti-conscience mandate and its fine on faith.

White House Wants to Keep Gas Prices High

There are people who deny that the Obama Administration isn't upset over the high gasoline prices we are currently facing. They are by design.

The Heritage Foundation posted the following:

With the national average of gas prices hitting $3.65 a gallon, nearing $6 in some parts of the country, and poised to head even higher, America’s families are wondering when the bleeding at the pump will stop. But for Secretary of Energy Stephen Chu, those steep prices aren’t even a concern. In fact, he says his goal is not to get the price of gasoline to go down.

Chu delivered those stunning remarks in testimony before Congress yesterday. When Rep. Alan Nunnelee (R-Miss.) asked Chu whether it’s his “overall goal to get our price” of gasoline lower, Chu said, “No, the overall goal is to decrease our dependency on oil, to build and strengthen our economy.”

As shocking as his remarks are, they shouldn’t come as a surprise. Chu has a long record of advocating for higher gas prices. In 2008, he stated, “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” Last March, he reiterated his point in an interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace, noting that his focus is to ease the pain felt by his energy policies by forcing automakers to make more fuel-efficient automobiles. “What I’m doing since I became Secretary of Energy has been quite clear. What I have been doing is developing methods to take the pain out of high gas prices.”

Meanwhile, the Obama Administration is seemingly doing everything it can to make paying for energy even more painful by refusing to open access to the country’s oil and gas reserves and blocking new projects that would lead to the development of more energy in America. Case in point: the president’s decision to say “no” to the Keystone XL pipeline, a project that would have delivered hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil from Canada to Texas refineries, while bringing thousands of jobs along with it.

Keep in mind gasoline prices in Europe are equivalent to $9.00/gallon. If you think this is good and enjoy paying high gas prices, then vote for Obama.

"The code word is imminent!"

To borrow a line from Thunderball (the movie version): "The code word is imminent!"

The Associated Press is reporting:

(02-27) 18:41 PST WASHINGTON, (AP) –

Israeli officials say they won’t warn the U.S. if they decide to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, according to one U.S. intelligence official familiar with the discussions. The pronouncement, delivered in a series of private, top-level conversations, sets a tense tone ahead of meetings in the coming days at the White House and Capitol Hill.

Israeli officials said that if they eventually decide a strike is necessary, they would keep the Americans in the dark to decrease the likelihood that the U.S. would be held responsible for failing to stop Israel’s potential attack. The U.S. has been working with the Israelis for months to persuade them that an attack would be only a temporary setback to Iran’s nuclear program.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak delivered the message to a series of top-level U.S. visitors to the country, including the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the White House national security adviser and the director of national intelligence, and top U.S. lawmakers, all trying to close the trust gap between Israel and the U.S. over how to deal with Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

What's flat and black and glows in the dark?

Iran.

Disapproved Comments

A few Leftist-oriented comments were submitted for approval on the topic of the current high gasoline prices and the responsibility of the Obama Administration.

Unfortunately, they were in violation of rules 1, 2 and 3 (see right column after scrolling down). I don't mind contrary opinions as long as they advance the topic and are backed up with facts. But, the posters just indulged in snide remarks, name-calling and didn't even bother to back up their assertions. Most of them were posted anonymously. Posting anonymously is fine as long as the comments are (somewhat) intelligent.

In cases such as these, they don't get approved and are flushed away.

Before posting, read the rules! I run this blog as a benign totalitarian dictatorship!

Our Gas Tanks May Tank Obama's Re-election

The cost to fill up one's gasoline tank could prove to be the issue that tanks (like that?) the re-election of Barack Obama.

From the Silicon Valley Mercury News:

Gasoline prices are rising at an almost unheard-of pace, and painfully so in California, where the cost for a fill-up now exceeds $4 a gallon in five cities and is approaching that dreaded mark in numerous others, including San Jose and Oakland.

The statewide average of $3.96 on Friday is 25 cents higher than just a month ago and 46 cents more than this time last year. The price jumped a nickel from Thursday, a huge increase, as day-to-day changes are usually measured in fractions of a penny.

Some oil analysts predict $4.50 a gallon or more by Memorial Day on the West Coast and major cities across the United States such as Chicago, New York and Atlanta. Prices in that range could be a major issue in the presidential campaign, especially if they slow the nation's economic recovery.

For motorists, it's painful now.

They can't blame George W. Bush for this. This all falls on Barack Obama's lap as he is notorious or being anti-oil. Over the past three years Obama...

...opposed opening up ANWR.

...[Obama's] EPA blocked drilling elsewhere in and around Alaska.

...ordered the Gulf moratorium.

...denied the Keystone Pipeline.

...approved billions in loans to other countries (Columbia and others) for upgrades to their refineries while refineries in the US and Europe are being shuttered.

...causing Canada to try to send their oil to China (while getting the runaround from US officials).

All in the name of a "green economy." Remember this as you fill up your gas tank!

UPDATE (2/22/12): Gasoline prices have hit $6.00/gallon in Florida today.

Remember what Barack Obama said on June 11, 2008: "I’d like higher gas prices, just not so quickly."

Looks like he's getting what he wanted.

Gas At $4.00 In L.A.

We haven't reached the above prices yet in L.A., but the price of gasoline is now at $4.00/gallon.

According to the L.A. Times:

"There was quite a paroxysm in the spot market for wholesale gasoline and a confluence of refinery maintenance," said Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst for OPIS. "It's quite noticeable because the price of crude is also over $100 a barrel. And if you live on the East or West Coast, you are dealing with a lot of $115 to $120 a barrel oil, like Alaskan crude and Brent crude."

Kloza was referring to refineries in the state that had shut down for maintenance, which usually causes a spike because supplies are so tight, but that wasn't the only factor.

That's not all, some oil industry experts are predicting that gas prices will hit $5.00/gallon!

Wonderful. And Obama decided to not approve the Keystone pipeline project.

About That Other Use For Aspirin...

It is amusing to see the mainstream (or state-controlled) media whining about a comment Santorum backer Foster Friess made about contraception.

Here's how it went:

"Back in my days, they used Bayer aspirin for contraceptives," Friess said on MSNBC yesterday during an interview with Andrea Mitchell, adding: "The gals put it between their knees, and it wasn't that costly."

Friess was talking about protecting one's virtue. It was another way of saying that to avoid pregnancy, keep your legs closed. It is no worse than telling a man to "keep it in your pants."

Ronald Reagan used to use the line, "Balancing the budget is like protecting your virtue. You have to learn to say 'no'."

When my roommate and I first heard the recording of this, we both laughed.

Now the media and women's groups are outraged and calling Friess a "moron" and "creepy."

Before people try to crucify him, Friess has done more philantropy work than any living liberal. He contributed millions for Indonesian tsunami relief and to Hurricane Katrina relief amongst other charities.

Naturally, the media focuses on this trivial story instead of President Obama's dismal record. The real issue is religious freedom, not contraception.

P.S. Friess has since issued an apology statement over his asprin joke.

Media Matters Thuggery Exposed In Memo

The Looney Left Report

Media Matters a supposed media watchdog group has targeted Fox News and Newsmax (amongst others) for harassment. All this is in close coordination with the Obama White House.

According to an article in Newsmax.com:

Newsmax and the Fox News Channel are among the conservative media entities targeted by an “opposition research team” formed by the left-wing media watchdog group Media Matters for America.

That eye-opening disclosure came to light in an internal Media Matters memo obtained by The Daily Caller, which lists targets including conservative websites, conservative think tanks, media outlets, and politicians.

A Media Matters memo actually went so far as to call for the hiring of private investigators to look into the private lives of Fox News employees and to harass them at their homes.

In addition to the Fox News Channel and Newsmax, the target list includes The Heritage Foundation, Cato Institute, Fox News websites, Fox Business Network, and the American Enterprise Institute.

Also on the list are several News Corp. executives, including Rupert Murdoch; Fox News executives, including CEO Roger Ailes; Fox personalities Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, and Sean Hannity; conservative donors; and politicians, including John Boehner, Eric Cantor, and Mitch McConnell.

These actions against conservative media outlets may be illegal as Media Matters is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit group and partisan political activities are forbidden.

"The Great Dictator" Obama Issues Edict To Health Insurers

Hoping to quell a firestorm President Obama announced a change in healthcare policy concerning religion and contraceptives.

Fox News reported:

President Barack Obama, in an abrupt policy shift aimed at quelling an election-year firestorm, announced on Friday that religious employers would not be required to offer free birth control to workers and that the onus would instead be put on insurers.

The compromise sought to accommodate religious organizations, such as Catholic hospitals and universities, outraged by a new rule that would have required them to offer free contraceptive coverage.

Instead, the new approach puts the burden on insurance companies, ordering them to provide workers at religious-affiliated institutions with free family planning if they request it, without involving their employer at all, the White House said.

Well, the problem with this is that although Obama shifted gears, this new plan is no more constitutional than the other one. It really is no change. Who do you think pays for the insurance coverage? The employer and the employee. He has no authority to make an insurer or any business pay for free contraceptives by edict. Governing in this manner makes Obama a dictator.

From Heritage.org:

“It’s very chilling and very dangerous,” Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) told the Heritage Foundation in an interview at the Conservative Political Action Conference. He insisted that the president’s supposed walk-back of the contraception mandate “is all rhetoric” and does not address either the constitutional problems with the mandate or its detriments to freedom of choice for America’s health care consumers.

On the constitutional question, Price said that members of the administration “so believe that they have to have the power to determine what kind health coverage that an individual may get that they’re willing to trample on the First Amendment to the Constitution in order to increase their power.”

To read the full Fox News story, go here.

UPDATE (2/11): From CNSNews.com:

CNSNews.com) - The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a statement late on Friday declaring that the small alteration President Barack Obama had announced earlier in the day to a regulation that would force all health-care plans in the United States to cover sterilizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives--including those that cause abortion--is 'unacceptable" because, among other things, it does not protect the freedom-of-conscience rights of secular for-profit employers, or secular non-profit employers, or religious insurers, or self-insured religious employers, or individual Americans.

Painting Has Obama Trampling Constitution

This is sure to make liberals unhappy.

From CBS Las Vegas:

Provo, Utah (CBS Las Vegas) - In front of the White House a man is sitting on a park bench in the throes of depression. He is surrounded by 43 presidents. In the forefront, purposefully ignoring the depressed man is President Obama, whose right foot is stepping on the Constitution. James Madison is next to Obama, pleading with him to stop.

This tableau is called “The Forgotten Man”, a painting by Jon McNaughton, an artist who is known for his politically-charged work.

The painting, which uses objects such as discarded dollar bills as symbols and scraps of paper with individual constitutional amendments scrawled onto them, has been making the rounds across the Internet.

Liberals are all for artistic expression, except when they get skewered.

Obama's Fantasyland

President Obama is the gift that keeps on giving.

Recently, he spoke in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Walt Disney World in Florida with his Telepromptors displayed in all their glory. Apparently, his handlers felt the castle made for a good backdrop. These guys sure aren't politically deft on backdrops as was President Reagan's Michael K. Deaver!

But all it does is give people (like me) material to use whenever Obama makes a ridiculous statement or tells bald-faced lies such as:

"I’ve done more for Israel’s security than any President ever."

"I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on August 3rd if we haven’t resolved this issue. Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it."

“Every idea that we’ve put forward are ones that traditionally have been supported by Democrats and Republicans alike.”

"There is, of course, another responsibility we have to our children. And that is the responsibility to ensure that we do not pass on to them a debt they cannot pay. With the deficit we inherited, the cost of the crisis we face, and the long-term challenges we must meet, it has never been more important to ensure that as our economy recovers, we do what it takes to bring this deficit down."

You get the picture.

Anyway, a big thank-you to the White House for the photo!
