Strife May Be Excuse To Keep Obama In Office Through Martial Law

Back on March 16, President Obama signed an executive order giving the White House absolute control over all the country’s natural resources in case of a natural disaster or during a time of war.

According to Fox Nation, Obama "granted to himself the authority to approve the dispensing of all domestic energy, production, transportation, food, and water supplies as he deems necessary to protect national security."

This action was troubling to a great many people. And it should.

Fox Nation posted:

Despite the national defense hurdle that ostensibly must be jumped in order for the order to take effect, the text of the document itself does not limit implementation to a time of war. In fact, the specific sections of the order make it clear that the President can take complete command and control of the country’s natural resources in peacetime, as well.

Jim Garrison at The Huffington Post (hardly a stronghold of conservative thought) goes even further:

President Obama's National Defense Resources Preparedness Executive Order of March 16 does to the country as a whole what the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act did to the Constitution in particular -- completely eviscerates any due process or judicial oversight for any action by the Government deemed in the interest of "national security." Like the NDAA, the new Executive Order puts the government completely above the law, which, in a democracy, is never supposed to happen. The United States is essentially now under martial law without the exigencies of a national emergency.

Even as the 2012 NDAA was rooted in the Patriot Act and the various executive orders and Congressional bills that ensued to broaden executive power in the "war on terror," so the new Executive Order is rooted in the Defense Production Act of 1950 which gave the Government powers to mobilize national resources in the event of national emergencies, except now virtually every aspect of American life falls under ultimate unchallengeable government control, to be exercised by the president and his secretaries at their discretion.

Isn't it interesting that this action took place during an election year in which Obama is in political trouble and is in danger of being tossed out of office?

Isn't it also interesting that we've seen an escalation of political strife that is being orchestrated by Leftist allies of Obama? The Occupy movement. The attacks on Rush Limbaugh/conservative talk radio, their sponsors and Fox News. The phony "War on Women" campaign. The thuggery involving the Trayvon Martin incident (the New Black Panthers putting a bounty on George Zimmerman's head, Spike Lee's posting of an erroneous Zimmerman address, etc.). Union thuggery. The fermenting of racial strife. And so on.

All the while, the White House has not denounced any of this.

With all this going on, it wouldn't be at all surprising if Obama loses the election in November or if his pre-election poll numbers show him about to lose, he invokes this order and declares martial law to keep himself in office (Garrison feels we're already in martial law). I am not saying this will happen. But it is interesting that recent events seem to be pointing to the White House and political operatives allied with Obama.

I'm just saying. It is definitely food for thought.

"The Plot To Get Rush"

American Spectator has an interesting article on "The Plot To Get Rush."

They start it with:

It was a set up.

From start to finish.

A quite specific, quite detailed plot to get Rush Limbaugh, ruin his career, and drive him off the air.

Next targets? Sean Hannity and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Lots to cover here.

Let's start with Mr. Angelo Carusone.

Who is Angelo Carusone? Today he is now the "Director of Online Strategy for Media Matters for America."

Democrat Operatives Engaging In Tortious Interference

Talk radio king Rush Limbaugh Tweeted a screenshot of a Left Wing website who is organizing the harassment of Rush's sponsors.

He Tweeted this message:

Dem Operatives astroturf the boycott Pt 2. See screen shot

They are having people contact his sponsors feigning "outrage" over the Sandra Fluke matter. This is all being organized by Democrat operatives. This being the case, it would seem that Rush would have a good cause of action against them in a lawsuit for tortious interference with his business.

Here's the screenshot Rush included in his Tweet:

Gloria Allred Sticks Beak Into Limbaugh Fray

The Looney Left Report

One can almost predict this. Leftist attorney Gloria Allred stuck her beak into the fray over Rush Limbaugh's comments of last week on Sandra Fluke. If there's a way for Gloria Allred to generate publicity for herself, one can be certain that she'll jump at the change at the drop of a hat.

According to Politico:

Rush Limbaugh has drawn the ire of celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, who sent a letter to the Palm Beach County state attorney requesting an investigation into whether the popular radio host should be prosecuted for calling a law student a “slut” and “prostitute” last week.

“Mr. Limbaugh targeted his attack on a young law student who was simply exercised her free speech and her right to testify before congress on a very important issue to millions of American women and he vilified her. He defamed her and engaged in unwarranted, tasteless and exceptionally damaging attacks on her,” Allred told POLITICO Friday afternoon. “He needs to face the consequences of his conduct in every way that is meaningful.”

In a letter dated March 8, Allred, writing on behalf of the Women’s Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund, requested that Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe probe whether the conservative radio personality had violated Section 836.04 of the Florida Statutes by calling Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke the two derogatory words.

The statute stipulates that anyone who “speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity” is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. Allred explained that the statute recently came to her attention as having never been repealed, and that it could very well apply to Limbaugh’s remarks as his show is broadcast from West Palm Beach.

I didn't see Allred raise a fuss over disparaging comments Bill Maher, Keith Olbermann and other leftists made against conservative women.

Democrat Hypocrites Refuse To Return Maher's Contribution

The Looney Left Report

A Super PAC supporting President Obama is refusing to return a $1 million contribution from Bill Maher.

Fox News is reporting today:

Current and former White House aides on Thursday rejected demands by a conservative group that a Super PAC supporting President Obama refund a $1 million check from comedian and talk show host Bill Maher because of coarse comments he's made about Sarah Palin and other Republican women.

While Obama earlier this week denounced similar comments that radio talk show host made about a college student, Sandra Fluke, White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters the president is not going to get involved in the Maher battle.

Carney said "language that denigrates women is inappropriate," but it is not the President's place to be the "arbiter" of every controversial statement.

"He chooses to lead by example or tries to," Carney said of the president, adding that "he chooses to try to practice that civility himself and he calls on everybody to do just that."

Maher used the c-word, twat and boobs to refer to Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, yet the Left is giving him a pass and the Obama Super Pac, which is run by longtime Obama aide Bill Burton, is keeping Maher's contribution.

Kirsten Powers at The Daily Beast, who sees the hypocrisy, wrote:

Let’s just call a spade a spade: the uproar over Limbaugh is only because it fits into the Democratic narrative that the GOP is “anti-woman.” It’s Democratic Party activism dressed up as feminism.

That's not all. Democrat congresswomen Sheila Jackson Lee and Jan Schakowsky refused to condemn Bill Maher for calling Gov. Sarah Palin a “c--t” and a “dumb twat.”

Let's see how outraged they'd be if a conservative said those things about Nancy Pelosi. All this is just phony outrage against Limbaugh in order to shut him up and get him off the air.

Ironically, Bill Maher is supporting Limbaugh in this.

Sleep Train Derailed By Limbaugh

A number of wobbly advertisers suspended or dropped their advertising on the Rush Limbaugh Show due to the flap over Limbaugh's comments on Sandra Fluke. Limbaugh issued an apology last Saturday.

One advertiser, Sleep Train, tried to reinstate their ads but were told to take a hike by Limbaugh.

The Blaze reported today:

Rush Limbaugh has rejected an advertiser’s apparent attempt to reunite with his show after the company initially dropped its ads from the program following his remarks about contraception advocate Sandra Fluke.

The company, Sleep Train, calls itself “the No. 1 Bedding Specialist on the West Coast, and most recognized mattress retailer in the region.”

In an email to Sleep Train President Dale Carlsen (obtained by The Blaze), a representative of the show says that Limbaugh personally considered the company’s request, but denied it considering its public comments following the controversy.

“Thank you for your requests last week and this week to restart your voiced endorsement in local markets of The Rush Limbaugh Show,” the email begins. “Rush received your requests personally.”

“Unfortunately, your public comments were not well received by our audience, and did not accurately portray either Rush Limbaugh’s character or the intent of his remarks. Thus, we regret to inform you that Rush will be unable to endorse Sleep Train in the future.

“Rush appreciates your long friendship and your past support, and we wish you good luck in the future.”

On advertisers who dropped their advertising on his show, Limbaugh said on Monday:

It’s a business decision, and it’s theirs alone to make. They‘ve decided that they don’t want you anymore or your business.

Sleep Train is now finding that "actions have consequences."

Boycott Carbonite

The apology to Sandra Fluke issued today by Rush Limbaugh over the "slut" and "prostitute" comments were apparently not enough for Carbonite, one of his show's sponsors. Sleep Train, Legal Zoom, Citrix and Quicken Loans also pulled their ads.

The Huffington Post reported:

Even as he walked back his comment, though, there were signs that Limbaugh is not out of the woods yet. Another advertiser, Carbonite, posted a message on Facebook saying that it was ending its sponsorship of his show.

"No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady," CEO David Friend wrote. "Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show."

It is the advertisers' right to pull their ads, but we Limbaugh "dittoheads" don't have to support their products or services either. Maybe a boycott of them is in order, starting with Carbonite.

UPDATE (3/6/12): Carbonite CEO David Friend's announcement of the withdrawl of advertising on Rush Limbaugh's show backfired.

The Daily Caller reported:

Investors flee Carbonite after Limbaugh announcement

Carbonite stock (NASDAQ:CARB) has plummeted nearly 12 percent, outpacing the drop of the NASDAQ index in that same time period by nine-and-a-half points. It was also one of the biggest decliners on the NASDAQ on Tuesday.

Looks like Carbonite ought to look for a new CEO.

Must Be A Fluke

Let's see, Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown law student, complains that contraceptives cost $3,000 and it is a hardship for. So she wants her contraceptives provided free by the taxpayers.

What law students doing that requires three thousand dollars worth of contraceptives?! They must be busy beavers!

Rush Limbaugh stirred up a hornet's nest with the feminists by referring to Fluke as a "slut" and "prostitute."

From Fox News:

Limbaugh later said on his show that the student was effectively arguing that the students "must be paid to have sex."

"What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right. It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex, she can't afford the contraception," he said.

His response to the uproar:

"Miss Fluke and the rest of you feminazis, here's the deal: If we are going to pay for your contraceptives and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it, and I'll tell you what it is. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch."

Sounds more than fair to me, although Limbaugh was illustrating absurdity by saying something absurd.

If $3,000 for contraceptives is too much for your pocketbook, then abstain! As Rush said today:

"If you can't afford it, you can't do it."

Additionally, Fluke isn't all she claims to be. The Gateway Pundit found:

What a shock! It was all a BIG PRODUCTION! The Democrat’s token abused college coed is actually a 30 year-old hardcore women’s rights activist.

Sandra Fluke is also the past president of Law Students for Reproductive Justice.

Ameritopia

Mark Levin's new book "Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America" is now out. It is sure to tick off the liberal establishment.

David Limbaugh (brother of Rush) wrote a review of "Ameritopia" for Human Events.com. Here's an excerpt:

Levin takes us through the seminal thoughts of some of the most noted political philosophers and writers who laid out the utopian vision -- from Plato to Thomas More, Thomas Hobbes and Karl Marx -- and then unpacks the contrasting vision of John Locke, Baron de Montesquieu and others whose ideas greatly influenced America's founders.

Liberal utopianism is a fantasy of arrogant philosophers and philosopher kings who believe their vision is superior to those of other lowly mortals. Levin calls them the "masterminds" -- the latest and most prominent being President Barack Obama and his cadre of utopian elitists. They believe they are proponents of enlightenment thinking and rationalism who could construct the ideal society if deniers and other obstructionists would just get out of their way.

In reality, however, they couldn't be more irrational, as they reject human nature, history and all empirical evidence that contradicts their vision. Indeed, writes Levin, "utopianism is regressive, irrational, and pre-Enlightenment."

Levin's "Liberty and Tyranny" was a blockbuster best-seller and "Ameritopia" is sure to top that.

Obama The Marxist

Following my posting on Rush Limbaugh's analysis of President Obama's speech in Kansas, I received one comment. I rejected it as it does not address the message but attacks the messenger:

Yes, let's listen to a drug addicted racist for confirmation of your own distorted beliefs LOL

This person (who posted as anonymous) doesn't want to engage in the issue at hand, but resorts to attacking Limbaugh instead.

Limbaugh isn't the only one to come to the conclusion that Obama came out of the Marxist closet.

From the Canada Free Press:

Obama’s latest speech showed him for exactly what and who he is. Not as an incompetent, golf-playing fool, but a Marxist whose mission it is to destroy what so many others love.

But the ‘Taking America Marxist Speech’ also shows a huge tactical error on the part of Obama and his global masters: While he may have the Public School Indoctrinated walking zombie-like towards November 6, 2012, the Marxists looking to conquer the USA forgot that you cannot possibly wipe out the generations that came before the indoctrinated—including the ones that went out to the battlefields to keep the word safe from Hitler in World War II.

Those generations and those who were allowed to be born after shall never forget and intend to make Obama’s Osawatomie speech Obama’s Waterloo.

Some people will prefer to keep their heads in the sand and attack the messenger (a Saul Alinsky tactic), but others will see Obama's speech for what it reveals. It reveals a disdain (to put it mildly) for the free enterprise system.

Limbaugh: Obama Announced His Socialist or Marxist Beliefs

"Do you remember how in 2008 he scoffed at anyone who called him a socialist? Do you remember how the media went after Joe the Plumber for reporting Obama told him he just wanted to "spread the wealth around"? Remember how we were mocked for calling Obama a "socialist" during the campaign? Well, yesterday Obama announced to the world in no uncertain terms that he is a socialist if not a Marxist." - Rush Limbaugh, December 7, 2011.

El Rushbo came out swinging yesterday during his review and analysis of President Obama's speech in Osawatomie, Kansas. Essentially, he says that Obama came "out-of-the-closet" as a socialist (or Marxist) with that speech.

In fact, it is, my friend, and don't doubt me, the same speech that Stalin always gave, that Mao Tse-tung always gave, that Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez and Kim Jong-il still give. Communist leaders around the world give this speech constantly. We've heard it all before, because class warfare is the fundamental principle of Marxism. Class warfare is how Marx explained economics and explained history. In fact, class warfare is how Marx explained everything. Now, oddly enough it's how Obama explains everything now. He blames all of the current problems on the rich. And to think some people still say Obama's not a Marxist. They won't even call him a socialist. It's willful blindness on the part of people who, I don't know what kind of state of denial you have to be in to have heard this speech yesterday or to have read this speech and to have not heard a call to arms.
